The beaches of Benalmádena are getting a major makeover. If the weather is good, the work will be finished before Easter.

Ten years ago, Torrox banned claiming a beach spot in the morning by leaving parasols, chairs and towels behind. Now the city council is going one step further and banning tents and gazebos from being set up. Event organizers can apply for a permit.

The public toilets along the coastline near Marbella are being renovated. The cost of the makeover is 1.2 million euros.
